Creative Europe Desk UK Co-Production Weekender
Date Posted: August 24, 2020
Creative Europe Desk UK is pleased to announce the second edition of Co-Production Weekender, albeit taking a slightly different form this year due to COVID-19. Rather than taking place over one weekend, this year will see another 18 participants take part in six online sessions running from 5 to 9 October 2020.
With the UK losing access to Creative Europe this year, cross border collaboration is more important than ever but what does that look like in a post-Brexit, post-COVID world?
Through a series of talks, case studies and group work with international industry experts we’ll be looking to answer this question while examining some of the basics of putting a co-production together, from treaties and conventions to legal agreements, finding partners and sources of finance.
EAVE group leader Roshanak Behesht Nedjad will kick off the week with an in-depth session on the whys and hows of co-production. More speakers will be announced over the coming weeks and a draft schedule is available to view here.
18 places are available for UK-based producers with a lead production credit on a previously released feature film. Creative Europe Desk UK covers the entire cost of the lab and there is no fee to take part.
