Date Posted: October 13, 2017
The AmmA Centre, Armagh, has been shortlisted in the ‘Heritage Angel Awards for NI’. The Amma Centre has been shortlisted in the category of ‘Best Contribution to a Heritage Project by Young People’. The annual awards aim to celebrate unsung angels of local heritage- individuals or groups, who have rescued an historic building or site, worked as craftsmen or apprentices, or recorded and interpreted a historic place.
Winners are selected via a public vote here: https://www.heritageangelawards-ni.org.uk
The awards are an initiative supported by the Andrew Lloyd Weber foundation, Department of Communities and UAHS. Should the project win in NI, it is automatically shortlisted for the UK Wide awards that take place in London in November.
