Online Carbon Literacy Training 2020

Albert have adapted their Carbon Literacy training programme so that it can be delivered via webinar during UK lockdown.
Albert exists to support the UK production and broadcast industry’s transition to environmental sustainability, working in collaboration to accelerate the adoption of best practice.
The national training scheme, Carbon Literacy, provides the TV and Film industries with the skills and tools to mount a non-political, optimistic, science-based response to climate change.
Northern Ireland Screen are offering two training sessions – one for those working in Production and the other for those working in Editorial.
The Production session is primarily aimed at Production Managers, Coordinators, Prod Secs, Line Producers, Head of Production and Production Executives and will cover:
- Introduction to climate change and its implications to our personal and professional lives
- Setting up shoots in a sustainable way
- Creating content that supports the transition to a sustainable society
- How to be sustainable when it comes to transport, crew, suppliers etc
The Editorial session is aimed at Producers, Researchers, Series/Executive Producers, Writers and Directors and will cover:
- Introduction to climate change and its implication to our personal and professional lives
- Learn the skills to appraise content under a new climate lens
- Pick up news ideas with relevance for all genres
- Bringing the idea of sustainability on screen
The schedule is as follows:
- 26th May @ 10am to 12pm – Production Workshop
- 27th May @ 10am to 12pm – Editorial Workshop
There is a limit of 12 individuals per session and the sessions will take place via Zoom.
Attendance at either session is free of charge.
